    First Hang was a Success

Just got back from my first two nights in my new Traveler, 3 season yeti, and Mambajama. My wife got me a Warbonnet Traveler for my birthday in Oct. She ordered the wrong one ( she ordered by color and not hammock style). We returned it and Brandon sent out a new one immediately.

Over American Thanksgiving weekend my mother in law asked me what I wanted for Christmas. I told her and she handed over her credit card.

I ordered a 3 season yeti and a Mamajamba. I put a note on the order that I hoped to be able to have it for my first hang on Dec. 7. I was hoping that it would come in, but understood if it didn't. Brandon came through again..... My package arrived and it was like Christmas for me.

The first night it was 45 (Dec7) and I got a little chilly about 3am. Ok, so we were hanging near the GA/SC Border. Don't hate me because it was 45 in Dec. After a visit to nature I got back in and made a few adjustments and got warm again. I was using an old mummy bag for a top quilt, and I was layered up pretty good with a fleece balaclava on my head.

The second night (last night) it only got down to 54. I dressed the same with one exception. I was given a piece of reflectix by another hammock camper and had it beneath my legs. Well, I was hot. I pulled off the balaclava and pulled down my top covering. I didn't need the amount of clothing I had on, but hey, it was only my second night.

I have some tweaking to due, add tarp tensioners, etc. but the Warbonnet gear performed flawlessly. One of the other campers wanted to see the Yeti, because he has been looking at one. We talked about it and he looked it over pretty good. Of course I sang its praises. One of the other newbies (had an ENO setup) really liked the size if the Mamajamba. I made sure to tell him where I got mine.

Funny story... One of the other guys was in an ENO and had everything setup and it looked great. When I got up the next morning he was lying about 2 inches above the ground. His strap had stretched he figures about 30%. We gave him a hard time.

Thanks Brandon for the gear. Looking forward to spending many nights in it.

I'd call that a successful first outing.
