How are you tensioning/tying 1.75 Lash-It Tie-Outs?

I have a new gianormous Cloudburst Tarp for my Ridgerunner hammock. I have ordered 1.75 Lash-It to use for the tie-outs. I'm a Boy Scout leader and normally I would just use a taught-line hitch on my guy lines, but will those hold on 1.75 Lash-It?

I have the small plastic Figure 9's I could use, but I've read those don't always hold with 1.75 Lash-It.

I could order a Dutch Tarp Flyz for each line, but there are eight (8) lines and that would be $60 (seems excessive).

Also, I use titanium shepherd's hook stakes, so the trick where you tie the line around a Y-shaped stake a couple times won't work for me I don't think.

I'll quit rambling now, and listen to your thoughts on this subject.

Here's a link with a video of how (and lots of others) do it. I'm using 2.2, but I would think that 1.75 would work the same way.

A taught-line hitch will work, but you may have to add an extra loop?

Dude, I'm just going to show up at Lake Texoma with a pack full of raw materials, and once we get to our campsite I'm gonna watch you work magic on all of it. I'll be sleeping in the best hung hammock/tarp in Texas by the end of the night.

I've been using some continuous loops made from 1.75 Lash-it to create prussic knots and just cinching the prussic down nice and tight on my tie out line (also 1.75 Lash-it). So far, I haven't had any problems with that holding. But I've only used it in mild wind, nothing too serious. I just hook the loop created by the prussic to my Ti-stake

I use a prussik. Tie some line to the tarp. Then put a prussik loop on the cord. Hook the loop around your stake, and pull tight.

If you don't use self-tensioning lines(a chunk of shock cord(bungee cord) to keep tension)....
Then attach the loop to the tarp tie-out. Take a piece of cord, and attach the prussik loop to the cord. Hook the end of the cord to the stake, and pull tight at the hammock(where your prussik loop is.)

Easiest way for me.

Prussiks do work but I have also used the line-locs from Clamcleat (in the HF store) and they've been good.

I am using Shane's Method. Been using it all summer with my Tadpole, and it works great. I was going to add them to my Guide Gear 12x12, but found out I didn't have enough Zing-it. I do now, as I just bought a roll a few weeks ago.

I really appreciate everyone's input on my question. I have to confess I have an inner struggle going on... as a Scoutmaster I feel compelled to use knots as much as possible... but as gadget guy I feel compelled to buy all the coolest gadgets and gizmos for hammocks (I just received my third shipment from Dutch this month).

I went ahead and ordered some of the line locs to try Shane's method. I also came up with a knot last night (I'm sure someone else has already done it) that I'm going to call the "Taut Line Prussik Hitch" It is basically a Prussik knot, but tied in the fashion you would tie a taut line hitch so that you are only using one piece of rope. This avoids having to create chain links to make a Prussik out of.

I have attached two pictures of this... the first as is and the second with a red outline to show how it would look as a true loop with prussik knot on the line. I used 4 wraps instead of 3 and it holds tight, but also adjusts up and down the line easily.
