    DIY UQs jerri-riged by newbies

If you go to our album you can get a good idea of how we made an underquilt from an old large ladies puffy coat on one hammock and split a duvet to make an underquilt and an overquilt. We were warm the second cold night once we got them slung up snug enough.

We were lucky to find 4 trees close to eachother so could reach out and hold hands if we didn't want to stay tucked inside. It became cold Thanksgiving weekend at Mineral Wells State Park in Texas.

Great pictures. Sounds like your doing everything right. Nothing like diy to teach you that anything is possible if you think outside the box.
I got in a fight one time with a really big guy, and he said, "I'm going to mop the floor with your face." I said, "You'll be sorry." He said, "Oh, yeah? Why?" I said, "Well, you won't be able to get into the corners very well."
