    Ground Dweller turning Hanger...I think

Yo all (sorry about the "Yo"...too much Breaking Bad episodes in a row). I have been backpacking/camping with a Big Agnes Copper Spur UL3 tent and have now decided to give "hanging" a try. I believe I have narrowed my choice down to 3...WBBB, WBRR and Dangerbird.

Anywho just wanted to say hi and looking forward to filling my brain with as much info as I can here.

    Talk to you soon

Welcome! Lots to learn here so keep reading. The WB's are very popular and I've heard nothing but good things about the Dangerbird. Only advice I'd like to pass on is give it time. Some people take to hanging faster than others. There is a steep learning curve so keep that in mind. Try out your rig and come here for questions about problems. Have fun!

    Welcome to ?cloud 9? .
I started camping with a hammock back in the 80s, but went to tents. Hammocks have come a long way and I'm back as of this past fathers day. I'm getting to old to be crawling in and out of tents. The hammock is just much easier and more comfortable. I'll be upgrading to a Dangerbird right after Christmas.

Welcome aboard Oregon. My advice is to find a group hang and try some out. Most ppl will be happy to show off their hammocks if you ask. My first group hang, I showed up with my tent and didn't know a soul.

And I hear you about Breaking Bad...Netflix... So you can watch all the seasons in like one night.

Welcome! This is the best place to learn about hangin'. And once you start hangin', you'll wonder what in the world were you doing ever sleeping on the ground. Good luck and welcome!

Watch the brain doesn't explode from information overload. It happens quickly, and when it does, just ask questions. Welcome to the forum, from Ohio.

Hammocking has become the only way for me. The biggest problem I had after going Hammock was getting rid of my ground dwelling gear......Best advise I can give is try it more than once before hanging it up. No pun intended.
