just looked at domestix post- thats not it. I dug thru my history all the way to Jan---nothing. Either I didnt post on it, or its buried in another post.
FYI: If you want to know what type a certain bear is, sneak up behind it and kick it. Then,
run like crazy and climb up a tree. If the bear climbs the tree and eats you, it's a black
bear. If the bear just pushes the tree over and eats you, it's a grizzly bear : )

Do not walk behind me, for I may not lead. Do not walk ahead of me, for I may not follow. Do not walk beside me, either, just leave me alone.

Were you talking about the mini spreader bars?? Heck, I could have helped with that one. As for, what I thought you were looking for, I'm not able to locate anything close to that.

It is not the Mini spreader bar thread that he is looking for. It was a thread that discussed using a ring, about the size of and embroidery hoop inside the hammock to give it shape and some structure.

Sorry....the word should have been "were" and not "where"....I corrected. I know the mini spreader thread. Amazing how messing up one word can change the entire meaning huh? I've got to slow my fingers and brain down.

Catavarie is right, It was a thread discussing the use of purse rings in the ends of the hammock to help spread the hammock further on the ends. It was a multi page thread that I can't find jack on. Had to be last year some time.

Not having seen the original thread, that second one looks as OP described it. Seems like the end result was they hadn't found the perfect rings yet.

Also, it sounds as if the rings didn't actually go into the channel but went inside the 'peak' and pushed out the fabric. That's what the picture looks like anyway.

I can't speak for the original poster but that isn't the one I am remembering. One of those is my thread, the other would have been shortly before. I am not smart enough to integrate purse parts into a hammock
