    WTB/WTT soda can pot stand

Hey guys, i'm in the process of putting together a small cook kit based around a 12oz soda can. Problem is, I can't find hardware cloth that isn't galvanized. Anyone want to make me one about the height of a soda can (so I can tinker with height for the stove). I can pay you for it, or trade some PIF type things.

The galvanized stuff is probably what the huge majority uses. Just let it burn nice and hot for a bit outside, it'll burn all the zinc off and then it's safe. Probably easier than messing with shipping and stuff, and then if you get over-zealous in your "tinkering" with the height (as I've done way too many times, lol...), you don't have to ask again for someone to make you one and start over.

EDIT: All I have is the galvanized stuff, but I have both 1/4" and 1/2" that I can send you a bit of to "tinker" with, if you want, no charge.

Have a small campfire in the back yard and set it at the edge of the fire. Just far enough in to burn off the gavanizing but not enough to melt the wiring. Make sure to follow Bill Clinton's example and not to inhale....

I've found stainless pot stand material at my local thrift store. Keep an eye out for deep-fryer baskets(stainless) and utensil holders (usually chromed).
