    WB Superfly vs. Mamajamba

So the wife said I can buy myself another xmas present and a new tarp is on the list. So for those who have a Superfly or Mamajamba, would you wish you got the other? I love the coverage of the Superfly but I am unsure if the pack size and weight would be a deterrence for me. I am not a UL hiker by any means and don't winter camp (yet). I back pack a lot in the UP of Michigan and rain and wind are a concern. I appreciate any advice here!

If I could only have one, I suppose it would be the Superfly. Only because it does everything the Mamajamba does, plus a little more.

If only one, I agree with others that the Superfly is the way to go. It's easily one of the most versatile and best bang-for-the-buck tarps available on the market.

Start with that and if/when you start lightening up your load, you can add the mamajamba to the mix (that's what I did).

Thanks for the advice so far. Superfly is how I was leaning and I am happy it is being confirmed. Let me through a curve ball... what about the Mamajamba with doors vs the Superfly?

Sort of; they used to be anyway.

The Superflies have had quite the evolution. I'd hate to put out a guess, but at least 4 variations come to mind over the last few years. For a while, the only real difference between the two was that the Superfiles came with panel pull tabs. Both came with removable doors as an option. I haven't looked this week, but I think the Superflies are currently sold with permanently attached doors. But don't hold me to it, like I said, I haven't looked this week.

I do believe you are correct... it's also why i went with the SF over the MJ recently.
