    Sheltowee Insulated Hammock

I just came across this new hammock manufacturer: sheltoweehammockcompany.com ...says they make the first available insulated hammock. Probably inspired by Just Jeff's WarmHammock?

When you look at the specs for these hammocks, it appears these guys have done their homework. Right here on HF. I hope that when/if these things go into production, they will step up and properly introduce themselves.

    Guess I'm not to bright?

It's been said that you only get one first impression. I understand the concept of "tickling" or trolling for someones interest, BUT c'mon. No product, no pricing. I can get either one elsewhere. Why would I waste my time waiting until they get around to stocking some saleable product?

Looks like they've started selling these hammocks on their site. $250.00 Who is going to be the first one to shell out their hard earned coin so I can read their gear review?

    Nice system...But

How about mosquito netting, at least a version with it?

    Sheltowee Insulated Hammock

I probably wont make a hammock with an integrated bug net because you don't ALWAYS need one. One thing that you DO always need is insulation.

I make a bug net accessory. it is shaped like a sock, without a bottom. no zippers or drawstring closures. the net seals shut when you lie in the hammock. really handy when entering and exiting in a hurry! I'll make it in nylon too. they will retail for less than $50.
