    FlameThrower Booties!!!

Yes I could call them socks. But I like booty so forgive me.

Just wanted to give props. Received my package today (close call on my part) and all I can say is the wife is going to FREAK over these down socks!! Awesome job, great quality, very very warm. I had to put my hands in them for awhile today while she was at work. soft, warm, weigh next to nothing. Perfect for camping.

I'll definitely be ordering more of these for family members. Thanks for a great xmas present.
When the wife asks, I simply say "Shug made me do it".

I have a question to any owners of the booties or to Paul:

Do the booties have a tougher/thicker material on the bottom? foam insole?

or are they more like a sock(vs. soft soled booties) with down insulation on the bottom?

And is the top of the sock/bootie around calf/shin cordlock adjustable or fixed "tightness"?

Love these things. Genuine Draft and I rarely go hiking without them. I take them in the winter and she takes them in the summer. Heck, there are plenty of nights that GD sleeps in them at home and few winter nights pass without us wearing them while lounging on the couch. Just flippin fantastic pieces of gear!
    Trust nobody!

Normally no they do not have a thick sole. The Socks are socks not shoes. Made and intended to be worn in your hammock to keep you warm when sleeping not made for walking around in. Down insulation in the footbed area to keep you cooking.

The top edge of the socks have light weight elastic band run through and sewn in place to length to keep them in place but not be tight to cut off circulation.

Paul, what's the turnaround time (in general) on the socks? I asked for some for Christmas and didn't get them. But I've been told that I have two gifts coming and I'm hoping one of them is the socks. If not, would it be possible to get some before the FL hang on the 18th?

Normally I would say that 1 week or less is our turn around on almost anything we make. December...including after Christmas is our busy month and has us pretty well flooded with orders. At the moment We are working on closer to 1.5-2 weeks on most all orders. Small things that are pre-made...like whoopie kits, Cooking gear, DIY parts and pieces and the like are running 2 days.
