My daughter and I did a storm on the Oregon Coast last weekend, it was great, however it was warm, only around 49 F. Big wind trees going every which way. I love it, just love it. No one was out and about just we two crazies. I was a tiny bit worried about the lightening, I am not too sure if it might hit us or not. I am wired with a computer in my shoulder. I assume it is not a lightening rod, I just learned my lesson about lightning, when we lived in Missouri.

I didn't hang last night because of the wind. Today I notice that the tarp is flapping loose on the ridgeline. I wanted to practice my skills in the dark so I went out a little while ago to set things right. I discovered that the storm trolls had taken all of my ropes and knotted them up! 45 min. later I have the knots untied and the tarp re-staked. Nasty trolls.

I'm glad you didn't! You've had one too many trees fall down around you for one year!

Yes, and high wind following a rain are perfect conditions for them to come down.
