Picked up a 150ft roll of this polyester webbing on EBay at http://www.ebay.com/itm/1-Inch-50yds...item35c0834432.
With shipping it came to just under $25 or $0.17 a foot. Got the roll as I need to replace some suspension straps on a couple of hammocks that are starting to show some wear and tear plus I have a couple of new DIY hammocks that after trying Whoopies on them decided to go back to the straps.
Specifications: (from sellers EBay site)
•Made with 100% Polyester
•1" wide
•Approximately .043" or 1.11mm thick
•1200lbs tensile strength
•Melting point of 500 degrees Fahrenheit
•Rot and mildew resistance
•UV Resistant
•Moisture Resistant
Has camo on one side and a solid tan color on the other side. Very stiff.
Made two 14 ft long suspension straps for a DIY hammock. Sewed Dutch Clips to the end loops and have not decided if I will use Dutch Gear Cinch Buckles or Arrowhead Cinch Buckles (same name but they are different). May use one of each to see which works better. I am kinda of partial to the Arrowhead Cinch Buckles as I have been using them for several years on my BB's and a couple of other hammocks.
