Just contact him. It's obvious that even priority mail won't cost that much....and the booties can certainly be packed into a small shipping box. I'd hate one of cottage vendors to loose sales just because of shipping...and it could be a glitch happening in his cart that he is not aware of.
He might be out of pocket. I'm waiting for a response on the same issue. 7.50 for some mitten hooks and micro cord locks.
