uh oh on my first DIY tarp

Ok so I just finished my first diy tarp (besides the adding silicone part) and I hung it up in the barn. The first side looked great but the second side flaps up near the RL, im really not to sure how to fix this, any ideas? The pics will help describe what im talking about.

If you fold it along the RL do the sides match up?

Nice work, Boots13! What material is that? I like the camo pattern. As mentioned in the other posts above, it looks like the sides aren't even, causing the "sag". Might be able to dart up the longer side near the ridge line to make it even?
I got in a fight one time with a really big guy, and he said, "I'm going to mop the floor with your face." I said, "You'll be sorry." He said, "Oh, yeah? Why?" I said, "Well, you won't be able to get into the corners very well."

I wonder if you stretched one side lengthwise as you sewed the ridge seam. Did you have trouble getting the ends to come out even?

Except for finding the problem and ripping out seams to correct it, a couple of small darts in the floppy edge as Lost Biker suggests may be the only option.

I must be missing what you're talking about, because what I see is what looks to be loose material in one of the cat cuts on the side facing towards the barn opening - if that is what you're talking about, i would think that pulling the hem out on that side and re tapering the cat would help. That said, a dart might be easier, just make sure you fold the dart such that the rain runs over the seam rather than into it, thus creating a place for the water to puddle up and possibly run under rather than down.

Thanx for all the help, I cant believe I didn't try folding it along the RL and checking if they match up, but if I cant taper it then ill just dart it up I think that will just have to do. Oh and the fabric is some 1.1 I got it from magna fabrics and im going to use it for everything haha (just got the UQ to finish up)

I don't see how that bit of difference (in the length from ridgeline to edge) could cause the problem. The two sides could be completely different and it should make no difference.

I still think that something happened at the ridgeline when the two halves were sewn together or at the bottom edge when the grosgrain was sewn on.

If the last couple of feet of one side of the ridgeline was stretched as the halves were sewn together, I think it could cause the floppy edge. Also, if the bottom edge were stretched when the grosgrain was sewn on it could cause it.

The problem with my theories is that you would have noticed problems as you were sewing...i.e. one side came out too long as the ridgeline was sewed or the edge was coming out longer than the grosgrain and had to be scrunched back at the end to make them match. Anything like that happen?
