Ouachita trail hiker -gettn to the trail head idea's!??

Hey there hangers,
I will be hiking the Ouachita trail this coming feb.15th. I can ride GH bus to McAlester,Ok. which puts me about 50miles from the trailhead @ Talahina,OK.

I'm not opposed to hitchhiking but,...with the state prison being in McAlester, not a good place for a stranger to thumb a ride (dont pick up hitch hiker signs along roadways)!

Any forum members in Big Mac? buy ya lunch and fuel for a ride

!Any idea's about gettn to the OT trailhead appreciated!

Thanks for the lead on "backpacking arkansas.com"...from thier site I found an affordable shuttle service from Mac. to the trailhead!
