What about a 1 or 2 layer fleece gather end hammock to hang under the hammock? Use shockcord on one end and a whoopies for the other. That should hold it tight up against the hammock. Side shockcord adjuster like you have on these hammocks should also help with a custom fit.

I change what I use with the seasons. I didnt want to sew channels or alter any of my blankets or quilts.(my wife wouldnt let me) So I bought some coughlan tarp clips, I just change them from blanket to quilt or whatever I wanna use. I just hook a couple to one edge then lay in the hammock and hold the blanket up to get the width, then fold it and put the clips on. Works great, I dont have a cover for my uq so I use these on a tarp over my uq. If you hook the back edge first, the extra material hangs down and kinda makes some hidden/ protected storage. I use a tarp that hangs to the ground with a foot or so on the ground, I put my pack and boots on it when its rainin or snowin sideways. Keeps them totally dry. Your kids could pick out out their own then the hanging material would kinda personalize their hammocks, like a bedspread. A pretty pink girly appearence might even bring that last one around. I wish I could load pics, but I havent figured it out yet.

If you've already got UQ, I vote to just use them also. Frees up hanging closet space and keeps the UQs they way they should be.

I sleep indoors every night in a Brazilian hammock. I lay an old sleeping bag in the hammock for insulation. I've also thought that the furniture blankets that movers use, folded double, should be ideal.

I love my hammocks even more scince I became a full time hanger a couple weeks ago here are my 2 new hammocks I bought after I gave my other hammock to my dad. The one in front is nylon string and the one in the back is cotton. The nylon is rated to 950 pounds and the cotton is rated to 800 pounds
