Timberrr and I will be heading to Alexander Springs to ring in the New Year again this year. Anyone wanting to ring in the New Year in quiet reflection with good friends and good food is welcome to join us.

Is this a hammock friendly area or are you tent or camper camping?

Very hammock friendly. It's a requirement for Timberrr and me.

I think of sleeping on the ground is practice for being homeless and I have no intentions of being homeless. Besides, I did that enough in my Army days.

I'm already there. I'm at a campground called big bass lake. Its on rt 42 .
leaving here tomorrow. Headed to the west side of the state. Will be over that way for a few days. Perhaps I'll venture back this way.

We will be heading out around noon today. Three hammockers, two tenters and four dogs. Today there is a 70 percent chance of rain, but by midnight that goes down to zero and remains that way for the remainder of the trip. Temp low tonight will be 36, with wind chill taking it into the 20's. Brrrr! It's gonna be a great time.

I'm bringing the DO's to try some new dishes since FH3 is just around the corner. I'll try to remember to get some pics for the trip report.
