If at first you dont succeed....

Try out hammock camping for the first time in 3 degrees!
Spent a few days out near williams AZ. One night on my property and a night a little higher in elevation at a place called sycamore rim.
Setup on my property after we arrived around 9 PM on thursday night.

Another shot with my pack covered with my rain coat.

Temp was down to 16 with thermarest as insulation, a 20 degree down bag and my primaloft parka over my feet. Snug as a bug and toasty warm!

Firday morning we picked up some gear from my property and went on to sycamore rim trail. Gear shot with my new kelty redcloud 110 and my dads old alice pack all loaded up and ready to hit the trail.

Snow was supposed to be near 24 inches so we brought showshoes but ended up not needing them. Got a chance to test out my new OR gaiters.

Decided not to run my tarp and enjoyed a brisk 3 degree night with a view of the stars.

Supposed to go out again since I have 2 weeks vacation in the begining of january but my first day back at work I slipped and may have torn my acl...Will find out thursday how bad it is so wish me luck and enjoy the hell out of the rest of the winter season for me! Thanks for looking and merry Christmas everyone.

What tent is that? Looks an awful lot like my Clip Flashlight... which I've read Sierra Design "borrowed" an idea from.

First off it is 12:06 A.M. here in Ontario so Merry Christmas! Glad you had such a good outing. Reschedule your holidays and recuperate on their time, use your time for dirt (or snow) time!

Hope you did not tear your ACL, that is a suck injury to have for sure.

I have had 10 Surgery on my Right Shoulder myself and one on the Left Knee. Lucky me I do pretty well these days.

Nice gear shots and amazing scenery! Thanks much for the photos.
