Hi! I just came across this forum while researching a little outdoor item. Awesome! Hammock camping. I'm going to try it, as soon as the weather warms up a bit. Seems to me that's when it would be best, to keep cooler in a hotter climate such as Georgia. It just makes sense. Most people given the economic opportunity sleep in a bed, not on the floor. So why should campers settle for the ground...

While hanging can certainly be done (and many love to) in the cold, warm weather is a good time to start as the insuation (which is the hardest part to dial in) becomes less of an issue.

My first experience of hammock camping was near 0 degrees in the snow and it was great. Made me enjoy it all the more. Dont be afraid to dive in and try it out!
