    The Proof's in the Pudding

The USAF base I work at was shut down at 9 this morning because of the blizzard on its way in. So I got to play with hammocks!

    Weather: 27F, 18MPH wind, 37MPH gusts
    Equipment:
    Risk's ZHammock with no pad
    JRB full size underquilt
    Risk's TravelPod (cold weather sock)
    60" x 120" DIY Silnylon tarp with 4 stakes for 8 pullouts

    Result: one great nap.

    Oh you lucky dog!

I got 2+ feet here in Indy. Hopefully when the roads get cleared - 40 car pile up closed down Hwy 37 this morning - I too will get to hang in the woods and nap.
I got in a fight one time with a really big guy, and he said, "I'm going to mop the floor with your face." I said, "You'll be sorry." He said, "Oh, yeah? Why?" I said, "Well, you won't be able to get into the corners very well."

My thoughts exactly. I am still thinking about the great banana puddin' and crushed nilla wafers Eaglej whipped up last summer.

I guess the Navy was the wrong service to join. When hurricanes were coming we went into them to see how rough of weather the ship could take.
