One should bring some water just in case they haven't started flushing the lines from being off all winter and to be on the safe side.
Ok. I'm not sure if I mentioned it, but this time Wed. I'll be headed that way! Two more days! I can make it.
If you ain't havin' fun, you're doin' it wrong
just looking at google maps and have a question about the campground location. Off of hwy 74 on Kyles Landing/camp orr rd. The road then turns into County rd 56 and dead ends into a circle near the river. Does this sound like the right spot???
Yeah, a little branch water is just the thing with a shot or two of Black Velvet to warm up the sleeping bag and keep the cold at bay.
"Necessity is the plea for every infringment of human freedom. It is the argument of tyrants and the creed of slaves."
William Pitt
Does anybody fish this section of the river? If so are there trout or small mouth bass or what?

thanks, I've never been there and didn't have any idea. If bream were plentiful that would be cool.

It will still be a bit early for the smallmouth to be biting much... water temp is still in the mid 40s. If you're going to fish for them, I suggest a very slow presentation of soft plastics - try the slow pools and let it sit on the bottom. The key will be a VERY slow presentation as the bass will still be very lethargic.
It's killing me that I can't attend this event. Post lots of pics!
