Howdy from the coast. Please, come join us at the Sesqui hang. Most have extra gear. No need to wait for summer. Cool/cold weather camping is lots of fun.
Leave me alone, I'm only talking to my dog today.
I may be outnumbered, but never outmanned.
Palmetto State Hangers: We're not crazy, the Groundpounders are!!!!

Welcome to the forum from Simpsonville SC.
You have, in your backyard, one of my favorite places to hang... Congaree Swamp. With the bugs gone, the next few months will be a great time to hang there.
I hope you'll also consider the group hang in the SC Upstate on the Chattooga River, April 5, 6, and 7.

Greetings from Indiana!
welcome to the 2nd floor. I think you will like it up here.
I'm going to have to give a shout-out whenever I make travel plans. I was in Charleston last week and I might have been able to meet with a couple of HF members.
I almost took my hammock (#1 son had his ENO). Though I'm sure the founding fathers would have frowned on us hanging in the Marion or Battery Parks (beautiful trees). There weren't any trees at the Fort Sumter National Monument, though a TurtleDog stand would have worked well. There were all sorts of hookup locations for tree straps on the Yorktown Aircraft Carrier.
Forgive my rambling, but all that to say that there are a lot of us out here to help support your new habit, I mean hobby.....
