I just got a new setup. A WBBB single layer, Old man winter tarp, and a hammock gear incubator full length quilt. I was thinking about getting some tarp flyz to for my non continuous ridgline. Before i ordered i saw the quilt hooks and it got me thinking about this problem i have...
I am trying to find a way to keep my quilt up around me. There has been a few nights where i wake up because it has slipped down on one side and my shoulder/upper back got cold. I saw that quilt hooks you can attach to the seam and use to hold up the quilt. Unfortunately I don't have any seems with the WBBB where i would need them for this to work, and i would rather not try my hand at sewing these on to the main part of the hammock.
I did see you are now making quilt hangers which might help move it up higher but im confident that would really do the trick. At the moment the best idea i was thinking about was using zing it to connect the adjacent D-rings on the HG UQ up and over the ridgeline with a prussic knot. seems kinda ridiculous but darn it i like to stay warm!
Any dutchware i'm missing or not fully comprehending that would do the trick just the same or better then my hair brained idea?
