I would consider the BIAS Buginator over the ENO. It's only $10 more and about half the weight.
The absolute cheapest route is gonna be DIY. You could get some tulle really cheap (I got 40yds for $17) and experiement with different styles. When you find the one you like you can make it out of noseeum or buy the commercial version of that style.

I have an ENO and a Fronkey net. I will only use my fronkey style from here on out due to weight. the ENO is not too heavy if you have nothing else, which i didnt at the time, but i love my fronknet and will never go back. I paid $20 for materials. There are all kinds of other designs out there on this site. I wish you luck with your camping adventures (and your daughters).

My forum name is Fish<><; I'm in the navy; and I hate sleeping on the ground. If I didn't need ground to walk on or measure resistance to, I think I could happily give it up.

Book mark that link and it will save you time... It references you to most of the big diy lists...

I use both the Fronkey Net and the Cheap Cricket net, which is a $10.00 version/knock-of of the Fronkey style. Easy to make - just sew the two sides of the mesh panels together and run the shock cord, the cord channels are already there. Can be done by hand in a short time with minimal effort. You can also do it in colors. I made mine in light tan to keep the heat down.

Rock on. Well the consensus says to diy or wilderness logic. So Maybe I'll wait until my hammock shows up and have a diy project. Cheaper too!

Life is easy, it's the path's you take that can be difficult.
I rock the ENO bug net. It is a Lil pricy and extra weight but I have used it on all my hammocks and it seems to be a great item Worth checking out for sure
A man does not climb a mountain without taking some of it away with him, and leaving something of himself upon it.
I'm against any bugnet (or hammock, for that matter) with a zipper. When I want to get out of my hammock, I want to get out NOW. I don't like waking up wondering where the hell the zipper is. Call me claustrophobic, but fumbling with zippers was also one of the many reasons I hated tents.
That's why I prefer a bottom-entry bugnet (like the BIAS Buginator or DIY Fronkey) 'cause I can swing my feet out of the hammock and they're on the ground. I'll be running for the hills while the bear is munching on you zippered bugnetters!
The DIY top-entry bugnet (TED) is something I'd also consider 'cause it looks like you can get out of it lickety-split.
