HYOHI've used a toulle net and didn't have any trouble with it (after I soaked it in permethrin) though you do have to be gentle with it.

I used a tulle sock a couple of years same as you. It was fragile but worked. It had a tendency to pick up twigs and leaves.
I went to a HUG which works well for me around here. But if I were to go somewhere with bad skeeters like Louisiana I would want a 360 solution. So I guess the answer for the OP would be influenced by where, when, and sleeping pattern. If your likely to kick the covers off a HUG won't suit you.
