I am going to be heading to Valens Conservation Area on the weekend of Jan 4-6, 2013.
This is the last weekend of Christmas break for the school kids, and I know many people take vacation during this time. For those that want to have some piney woods time before heading back to the hectic pace of everyday life, this is your chance.
This is also a great opportunity for those that received new gear at Christmas to test it out in a car camping setting with easy bail out options. The recent snow we've received in Southern Ontario this week should stick around as the temperatures are forecast to stay below freezing according to the long range weather outlook.
One last thing, for those thinking of going on the February winter hang and have never really winter camped before, this would also be a good chance to test your gear and insulation systems.
If you plan on going, please indicate it in this thread as there is a site limit to the number of people.
