    First DIY Hammock

So after much research and a blind leap of faith, I finally made my first tablecloth hammock. I used a 120x70 Taffeta and made some Amsteel dog bones to clip it up. (Yes....a HUGE leap of faith...homemade hammock AND homemade suspension. ) Amazingly, everything worked as I prayed to several different gods that it would.

So my question is this: There is a fair amount of extra flap on either side of the hammock. What do you do with the flappies?

    Great looking hammock!
Search "Knotty mod" here on the forum. That will tighten up the sides for you and make a pseudo footbox.

Looks really nice. Yeah, just do the Knotty mod and it's done. Your hooked now!
I got in a fight one time with a really big guy, and he said, "I'm going to mop the floor with your face." I said, "You'll be sorry." He said, "Oh, yeah? Why?" I said, "Well, you won't be able to get into the corners very well."

    Very nice!

The Knotty Mod is a great addition. The original post was called stretch-side mod, though, so you'll want to search for that.
