There are times that the only way you can do something is to do it alone.
At a casual pace, I covered the RS to Hobbs Cabin in about 4 hours. If you're used to hiking in the mountains, this first day will be very easy, since there is maybe 300 feet of climbing over a dozen micro-climbs total.
If you stop for 15 minutes out of every hour, you could still make it easily in about 5-6 hours.
If you are truly slow, you will take longer to walk the 5 miles on Saturday slower than this first walk in.
Well the sun will be up by around 6:30, so a group breakfast could certainly work I folks want to do so on Friday.

Last time from the rangers to hobbs took me 3.5 hours-they had me freeked about hiking at night

Watch your weather MedicineMan,,,weatherman this morning was talking about 6 diff. fronts moving thru during the next 2 weeks of cold and snow/mix/rain type weather. Maybe by then it will level out and have decient weather for your weekend. Wished I was there,,have 2 shows to set for that weekend and now have to bounce up to Clevenland to see and visit a possible show contract for the future..so really tied up that weekend now. Will enjoy your posts and videos of this weekend. I have fished the lake there in tourneys before. Awesome country.
