Did you use your spreader bars provided with hammock or your hiking poles? Just curious is all. Nice test.

I went with the provided spreader bars. I like my hiking poles, but the tips of the poles are quite worn, and the adapters cam over a little on them. I hasn't bothered, and I've spent a night sleeping on them, but it looks like it is putting a little pressure on the tip of my poles. They are the screw in carbide types and I may try and find some new ones.
Double with net and Spindrift fit no prob as Boulderman noted above. I do store the straps wrapped around the outside of the bishop bag.
This is what I'm thinking, some type of a lazy slug would be perfect. Really though, with the spindrift on, I wonder if a guy can't just zip it up with the hammock and lynx inside and jam it in the bottom of the pack. It is made out of tarp material. Probably pretty tough, and I'm usually pretty careful. We'll see

Ran about 14 deg f last night. Really comfortable with the 20 deg lynx, a pad and my 30 deg bag. Think it actually was a bit colder with wind chill. Left a very small flap of the SD unzipped at the top for the 1st couple hours last night, then zipped up completely about midnight, no condensation, worked very well.

Nice report...I love mine too. It definitely bumps up the temp range on your gear although I'd say you were pushing it.
Regarding the insertion of inflatable pads/mattresses, I find it easiest when I partially inflate them so they still have some structure but can easily be bent and/or flexed. You may also find it easier if you insert the pad prior to installing the head end spreader bar. I push it part way through and then pull it the rest of the way from the other end.

Definitely pushing it! Would not recommend going to bush in this kind of weather with that light of gear on purpose, ever. All backyard testing only to see what I can get away with in case conditions crater on me.Nice report...I love mine too. I agree with you Miguel, the partially inflated pads are much easier to get in. I've settled on the z-lite as it has the segmented folds. Threw up the RR with the Spindrift last night, got it where I wanted it, and installed the Lynx and the Z-lite in about 2 minutes. My new method is to put the bars in, then flip the whole thing with the zipper open, and put the z-lite in the head end, doing exactly what you said, getting it started from the head end, and pulling it through from the foot end, then installing the lynx. Supposed to be a little cooler tonight, will likely use the old Mtn Hdware bag. Can't wait till my 0 deg burrow arrives...

Tried the new 0 deg burrow in the RR with the Spindrift last night. Woke up at 8:00 am and could hear the wind just a howling. When I went to bed last night, it was pretty warm, just about 0 deg celcius with a bit of wind.

Not so much when I got up. -19c on the gauge...-34 with wind chill! The whole outside of the spindrift was covered in a weird looking ice crust! Not too surprised the 0 deg top quilt held up like a champ, but was pretty surprised that I never got cold underneath with the 20deg lynx.
Gotta love the Spindrift!
