Micro Trip Report from Sunny Florida

Last Saturday 22 DEC 2012 @ 1930 hrs I loaded up the Ride with the Wife, 2 Kids, 4 cats, 1 dog and half the house in order to make the 13 hrs road trip to Clearwater, Fl. ... Purpose of the trip was to spend Christmas with the Inlaws at their lovely home in Sunny FL and get away from the screwed up Mid-Tenn weather ( it can't decide if it's going to be warm, cold, wet or windy )... After arriving at the Inlaws and getting the Ride unloaded I headed out to the back yard which is right beside the golf course / nature preserve ( i.e. I can call Turkey and Deer all day but no-shoot ) ... I selected my friends for the day and promptly set up my newly made 2 layer Knotty style hammock ( I still need to finish up with the Knotty mod )... The temp was in the low 70's and I just used my woobie as a TQ... After getting settled in the phone rang and it was HH6 ( aka House Hold 6 or Wife ) asking where I disappeared off to, I said check out back and you will see me. She said to have a wonderful nap and watch out for golf balls... Nap went as planned and was visited by a couple of Osceola Jakes and Toms who were curious as to what was in-between the trees... Best rest I had in a week

Here's a couple of pics my Father Inlaw took :

    Sorry for the late report

70 was nice but now it's back to the 20-30's of Mid-Tenn

Nice report. Yes, being a Floridian myself, I can attest to the golf ball hazard! you need a strong tarp!

    Ditto.

I spent the past week on the other side of the state at my parent's place. I strung the hammock up and enjoyed some relaxing reading time.

I have to figure out how to become a snowbird. That is my new goal for when I grow up.
