    revolutionizing hammock camping...

I have not been on hammock forums in quite some time now. When I was on here last I had been asking about the "peapod" design. Now that I have gotten back on the forum, and already made mine I realize it's a fairly large topic. however I noticed mine is a wee bit different. Most of the ones I've seen have been mummy bags with the head cut off. And a cinch cord around the top and bottom. mine however has a small hole at the bottom that can be tightened. and I've left the hood on, by cuting and stiching up a small hole at the back of the hood. Does this sound better than the other design?
and it's not only comfy it's warm as wewll I've slept four nights in it under 20 degrees wearing nothing more than two pairs of thin wool pj's and three shirts. I slept quite comfortably. I recomend this for cold weather because whenever I slept with my sleeping back in the hammock I would fall out constantly. Also for extra heat just shove a blanket underneath the bag.

Grand Trunk I believe is coming out with that exact thing. I think it's good since the bag can still be used as mummy bag on the ground.

I have always envisioned the foot modification of the sleeping bag in the way that you described, but I believe that the hole in the hood is the real innovation. Great idea!

One of these days I have an Incubator from HG coming that is made wider so I can wrap it around like a peapod. I plan to make a zip out top piece that will fully enclose it but will also allow for ventilation as needed. I like the concept for cold weather. I'm hoping to eliminate a topquilt completely.
