    Whoopie Slings and Hennessy

So my whoopie slings just arrived for my Hennessy. I don't know what to do with the attached rope that came with my hammock. Do you guys just leave it on, or tie it off somehow? I don't know the best way to deal with the extra cordage. Thanks for your help.

the old suspension lines will just untie when you go to put the new whoopies on, you can go to youtube for a bunch of videos on how to do it

Could you in theory, leave the old suspension intact and tie in the whoopies, so you could use one or the other.

Yeah, I could have left them on. In fact, I had both on at first, I just wanted to cut the extra bulk/weight for the stuff sack.

What a blast from the past!

IIRC, hubby was assigned there about 1969-70. He was transferred to Fort Bliss, TX, not quite the same garden spot, a few months before we married. I hope you like Hawaii as much as he did. Another bonus for you, we are no longer involved in Viet Nam, so you aren't likely to be sent there on short notice.
