Are you using stock set up?
Getting rid of the heavy carabiners and getting some lighter weight black diamond ,carabiners is a step, or just get some whoopies and cut all the weight in half, but you will be lengthening your minimum hang distance... Cinch buckles or descender rings are an option as well that I'm pretty sure would come in lighter...
Live, Laugh, Love, if that doesn't work. Load, Aim and Fire, repeat as necessary...

The Double Nest is wide enough that the sweet spot is within the main hammock body. The "wings" of fabric on each side (about 8 inches wide) can be removed without affecting the lay of the hammock. That is, of course, a subjective decision, but what I'm implying is: cut off the wings. That'll save some weight.
Cut off the stuff sack and get rid of the plastic hardware and strap that go with it.

You're talking my language. What good is the pocket and buckles...they just decrease your fuel mileage.
The beauty of sunsets,
The wind in the pines,
The mountains give these and more...
Peace of mind.
I lightened my DN by completely removing the stock suspension and replacing it with Dutch cinch buckles and Amsteel. You definitely don't need those stock steel biners. They weigh a ton.
I got a DN on steep discount a couple years ago and basically did everything that has been mentioned here. I changed out all the metal hard wear for whoopie's, cut both sides down as well as cutting off the stuff bag. I also added an adjustable amsteel ridge line that could also be used for extra suspension length in a pinch. My next mod will be to sew in a short pad sleeve down near the foot end to keep my Exped down mat from shifting around. Now I consider it to be a decent hammock that I take out when I know there will be no bugs around.
"...cut off the wings."
I didn't measure but wouldn't that be about the same as a Single Nest?
I did everything listed above and I use mine every night, so don't worry about lowering the weight limit by lightening the gear.
Carpe noctem!!
