Yea, unfortunately, due to the very sad and recent murder of the woods in our back yard (owned by or neighbors, although they always let us camp and such there) the only place left to hang is between the streetlight in the driveway and a tree on the other side of the driveway. A fire pit in the middle of the driveway wouldn't work out too great :/ Fluffy gets by ok though despite his fire deprivation. He says to tell you he had to break down and buy a zippo so he could have a flame close by in case of withdrawal.

    Time to put three

Time to put three 4x4 post up in the back yard for a "cloths line" but strategically placed so you can hang both hammocks side by side

I agree with aka Pete. I have 2 trees in my back yard but they're too close together. I set a post out from the trees and use it for the other end of my hammock. I'm a big guy, so I used a 10 foot 6x6 post. Works great for me.

Well that's a good idea, but our back yard is all garden, fenced in chicken yard, and driveway into the garage. And the rest of the yard we don't go in cause the neighbors have a mean dog who comes over and attacks us on that part of the property. Unfortunately we haven't had the funds to put up a fence around the property to keep the dog out. The only other place to hang is between two walnut trees and that's not very safe or good for a tarp at certain times of the year.

Cattle prod would cure that dog real fast I'm thinking.

And before anyone gets their panties in a bunch I don't condone any mistreatment of animals, but by not properly training their pet the neighbors have already mistreated the dog. People like that don't deserve their pets, IMO.

    A box of

A box of small dog treats works wonders with a neighbor's mean dog.

Put a couple in your pocket each time you go out in the back yard.

Don't take long for the dog to put the "Friend" label on you.

After that a stick or old tennis ball thrown a few times and you'll have a buddy for life.

Nice job. I bet you have some folks scratching their heads over how to make something similar work. ;-)

I, too, noticed that truck!! Putting the sleeping bag pod-style but between the hammock and UQ is an interesting method. Looks warm! Good job!
