And I was living in Florida when I got my first underquilt. Looks like you need a new reason ShotgunWillie.

Yikes! It gets cold enough for me here in Central Florida. When them northerners are just putting on long sleeve shirts, I'm shivering

I use pads and am ready to change to an underquilt. Can't afford one so will have to mod a SB.
Enjoy and have fun with your family, before they have fun without you

That said, I keep trying to come up with a good reason to buy an under quilt but being in south Louisiana it doesn't really get cold. Still want one though!!
I live in south Texas... Haven't hiked outside of the state yet and I have camped in 18*... So yeah you can find a reason if you go out enough, regardless of weather..

Tell her it's a comforter. Girls seem to like that explanation better than hiking gear.

What's the weight difference between synthetic and down? I'm def going to check that out. What part of Texas are you from? I'm drinking a Shiner Bock as we speak. I'm always looking for new places to go and hike and I've never been to Texas. At least not to camp. Any suggestions?

Google has failed me. Is there a website for mcentyre?
