A renewed appreciation for the venders

Just managed to splice up a set of whoopee slings for one of the kids....man, there's a learning curve to making those things. I'm sure I will be practicing until it goes smooth but I certainly see the value in the makers of the two sets I had purchased.

It does get easier the more you play with amsteel. Keep at it, It does get addictive.

It really is addictive. I've handed out sets and sets to both friends and family!

The bury seems pretty simple but I imagine the back splice on the ends is tough. I may try my hand here soon though. I want whoopies on all my hammocks!

Give it some time... My first time splicing was with 1.75 zing it... Once you try that you will see that the amsteel is easy peasy...

Haha, I thought those buries were impossible until my third try, once I found my yarn needle the whoopies make themselves!
