Hello from S. Florida

Hey guys,

Spent the better part of a rainy afternoon reading posts and threads from your members and found myself at home. This is a great site and place to see what other hangers are up too. I've been hanging for about 3 years now but have gotten into it with more regularity as of late. Probably won't have 1000's of posts any time soon (spend much more time outside) but I'll be here lurking.

Come on up to the big annual hang on MLK weekend up in the Ocala NF. Good food, hikes, kayak trips, good food, big raffle on Saturday, good food... did I mention that there will be lots of good food?

Sounds like you're a seasoned hanger (even though S. Florida doesn't have season

)
But there's much more to entertain the outdoorsman if you become a donating member, but it'll cost you a whooping $10

As Samsara posted, the big Ocala Nat. Forest hang is in just 2 weeks with well over 100 hangers!!! (and lots of food!)

Great setup. Where were you at when the picture was taken. I was hiking the Fla. trail some through Juniper Prairie over the holidays. Camping at Hidden Pond I was surprised to wake up to a 30 deg. morning.

I've already talked to a few guys I camp with on a regular basis and we are seriously considering it. Even if they can't make the trip, there's a very good possibility I might shoot up there. I'm planning a trip in February to those parts but I just might add a short trip before that! I'd like to meet you guys.

Great pic man! I'm actually one of those lucky few that got the hookup of a lifetime. I live on a parcel of SFWM property near a State Park. I'm situated in the middle of several thousand (uninhabited) acres of state land. The picture was taken basically in my backyard. That pic is from last weekend and my Sunnto Core recorded a low of 41! We watched the temp drop until we finally crashed out around 11PM. Very surprising indeed! I've never made it to Juniper Prairie but it looks a lot like the Kissimee Prairie State Park. I'll have to give that a shot some weekend.
