Well I know both cottage vendors are amazing as I own products from both.
However I do have the te WA breeze and I love it. I have yet to test its lower limits, but the craftsmanship is excellent and the breeze is so light and compacts down very small. I can't speak for w.l. Uqs as I only have there tarp.

roughly how small?
Really lucky in you can't go wrong with either vendor in my opinion. For me it would come down to coverage, weight and price.

Love my Breeze's. Got one with 1 oz of over stuff and I've had it down in the mid 30's with just a light weight base layer, prob could have got below freezing and not changed a thing.
I've got some breezes as well and although I haven't taken them out yet (JUST got them in the mail) I tried it out and that thing is flippin' toasty! I love it, also makes a great blanket! I also got 1oz overstuff, and Mike made it out of M50 for me so it'll resist the wind a little bit better than regular nylon. Going to bring it through the ringer this year, see how it does in the low temps.
But it all really depends on what kind of coverage you're looking for. Mike at te-wa unfortunately doesn't do full length breezes, though he MAY if you ask nicely. WL already makes a SS full length, something to consider. Can't go wrong either way!
