Yea Te-Wa Sam and I were heading up to Grand Canyon area, but the weatherman forecasted us out with a -4F prediction. Figure were only good to 0F. Probably be 70F at my house.

Going down to 27º tonight. Hammock is hung in the backyard. I'm about to spend my first night in my new hammock.

^ hope your sprinklers are turned OFF..
i took the boy down to the Salt and did some flycasting (not catching) and we hung out until it got kinda cool. plan was to stay the night, but my better reasoning made the call to come back to the house. in that particular area @ phon d. sutton, signs warned against campfires.. we recorded 24 here in Mesa last night. have fun (or, had btt you read this)!

It was a success. 29° at 5.15am. I had to pee and the house was so warm so I climbed in bed with my wife. My toes were a little cold. I'm pretty happy to have been warm enough in a $30 Target sleeping bag. Next up: some down.

Clarification: after I read that, I should clarify that I climbed in bed with my wife AFTER I peed.

I'm also in the White Mountains, Spartacus19. It's a little brisk here, lows in the minus single digits and highs in the teens and low 20's above.
I'm new to hanging, have a new Grand Trunk that I need to learn. I'm up for a get together in the lower country where it's relatively warm, or a gtg in late spring or early summer. My schedule is pretty flexible given enough advance notice.
You can be wet and miserable, or you can choose to just be wet.
