On my DIY hammocks, I make a rather small channel. It's about 3/4" or so, like a large hem. The channel on your ENO is larger but still will have the same effect.
I use the channel to control the whipping. Go thru the channel and wrap a few times around making a "knot" or ball out of the end. Larkshead your suspension just past the cord used(I use a few inches of Mason line for the channel cord). Since the "knot" or ball is not the structural part, the Larkshead needs to be past the cord away from the ball created. The cord acts like a stop for the Larkshead if needed.
This method helps me from loosing 5-6" from a standard whipping.
Have fun testing and see what is best for you.
Enjoy and have fun with your family, before they have fun without you

I will have to take a picture of how I had it before I atempted some whiping and the results look promising. Have not laid my hammock out and sat in it.
