Between 7-8 miles total. From parking lot to stone door is .9 miles. Stone door to alum gap is 4 if you go into the gulf, 3.2 if you stay on top. Laurel trail is 2.9.

    Thumbs up

Well I'm glad there is interest. I intend to start early the 25th so once camp is set up I can do some recharging and maybe even a mini excursion. I am totally flexible and just stoked to get out on an overnighter. Barring any extreme weather I am going to confirm myself for this trip. Looking forward to meeting one or two (or more) of you.

I was planning on being out there on the 26th-27th. I'd love to join you if you change to the original date. Otherwise I'll be hiking Collins Rim staying at Saw Mill, hiking out via Collins Gulf. I may have to modify that since the ranger said that the water in the gulf is flowing above ground and may not be possible to get from Sawmill back to the parking area via the Gulf. Guess I'll make another call before I head that direction next Saturday.

I am not able to change my dates, otherwise I'd be more than happy to. Sorry. Ran into a scheduling conflict at home and had to adjust

I will be there also. I hope to get there around noon. I work the night shift and can't leave until mid morning. Should still have a few hours of daylight at camp to do some looking around.

The official date is the 25-26. I just didn't know if I could edit the title

Bummer...I could do the weekend but since I have to drive up from LA (lower Alabama) I can't start early Friday. I love Savage Gulf. Sounds like a good time!
