Gear ready. Time to make an appearance in the office then scoot out at lunchtime. 4 1/2 hours until I hit the road.
Everyone, be safe in your travels and I will sell all of you in a few hrs...
Got some intel from the LSHT Yahoo Group. There's a bunch of ground dwellers going to hike the trail near us and camp at Neiderhofer Lake on Saturday night. Neiderhofer Lake is about a half mile south of where we'll be camping. I say we sneak through the woods to near thier camp around 2200 and make noises like grizzly bears.
He3ading out the door. Shwan expect a phone call in about 5 mins---see you in about 45.
Yippee freaking kye freaking yay!
Im not jealous Im not jealous Im not jealous. The mantra I will keep repeating at my desk.
I'm chanting along with you brother.
Rockhound: “Hey, Harry.”
Harry: “Yeah, Rock?”
Rockhound: “You know we're sitting on 4 million pounds of fuel, one nuclear weapon, and a thing that has two hundred and seventy thousand moving parts, built by the lowest bidder!”
hope you guys had fun out there...
I couldn't get out of work but would of attended.
I will most likely be heading out there this tue to thru hike the LSHT(west to east)... I have a couple questions for those who may know.
How is the cell phone coverage out there? (att)
How "closed" are the closed sections? Rangers posted up? just a sign? shot on site? ticket?
