Converting my HH suspension??

Questions about converting my HH hyper light suspension to the Dutch cinch buckle system. Can I convert my HH and if so has anyone done this? It just seems like a much faster way to hang and seems to give newbies like myself more flexibility. Any input would be great..

Not sure if the hyperlight suspension cord is about the same diameter as the Explorer Ultralight (I would assume that it is, but I don't want to embarrass Umption...), but, if it is, then it's totally doable with the stock cord.

I went over to a pair of descender rings and straps for a short while towards the end of my active usage of the Hennessy; I simply used the Hennessy lashing to attach the suspension cord to the rings as if they were a tree hugger and cut off the extra (actually, I had already cut off the extra, since I'd been doing the same thing with the JRB Tri-Glide system, but the principle's the same...). I can't see the buckle being any more challenging to do that with.

I've converted the suspension on my HH. Very easy to do. Lots of videos here showing how. It makes setting up the hammock take only a few minutes.

The biggest difference is the distance between two trees greatly increases. I used to step off about 15 paces; now I have to step off about 25. Another difference I've seen with using the whoopies is they can slip during the night. Several times, I've woke up in the morning to either be grazing the ground or inches from it.

I have another HH my sons use. I'm going to Dutch clips, straps and a buckles for it. Several friends have this setup and it is very appealing. Quick and easy to setup. Doesn't slip. Doesn't require the huge distance between trees.
