    I can't see it either.

I am second guessing my planned bury...getting ready to make 16 sets of these for the scouts and don't want them all to be short but we are trying to be cognoscente of the amount of amsteel used (budget concerns)

The constrictor bury will shorten significantly when 'filled' i think i marked my 15" bury at like 18" before i fed the inner through.

I have observed about 20% shrinkage in the line when another of the same is buried in it. 18" of pre-bury would end up as 14.4"

    Hi,just a stupid question.

How long should the bury be for 3mm dynema.

    I made a pair with a 250mm(10 " for imperial) bury and a prusick(actually taught line hitch)3/2 turns,and it still slipped.

    I'm a bit of a porker at 130kgs.

I've still got the adjustable ends but repurposed the constrictor ends as continuous loops.

I found that a DIY gathered end hammock with DIY whoppies looks the same as a bought one.

Try that with a tent and try to compare.

10'' should work. Did you milk the bury after adjusting the UCR?
The prusik knot or taut line hitch ist just to help the bury from collapsing. But it's crucial to milk the bury, to stretch it out to its full length, after any adjustment.

And if it still slips, make another one with 11 or 12''.
