I'm not sure what Sgt Rock used on his Ghost Hammock, but it seems he used something like that as well. One thing is for sure, you'll never know unless you try. You could always use it on your Tarp.

I'm not ready to join a Knitting Club, but you're right, making these are fun & relaxing as well.

That's great. It just makes sense, that if they can be used to adjust a hammock, why not a tarp. I might even give it a go with some Zing It. Any ideas what the constrictor length would work best on a 2 to 3 foot UCR?

Its just over 6 foot long, very small locked brummel one end to larks head around the hammock gather, 6" constrictor 2 feet up and 4 (or so) feet of adjustable line onto a 2" locked brummel to slip over one of Dutches Ti buckles.

I got over the loose end of the constrictor with a 1" section of heat shrink, being very, very careful with the heating process (air).

It was fun to make and a good trial run for future projects.
Nice, I have the same stuff and was actually condering giving this a try, could you let me/us know how it works out and if you don't mind your weight?

I think I have a 5" bury, I'm sure it's overkill but it hasn't gotten in the way and it holds very well. Much better than a prusik and releases easier.
    Good luck,

I gave the prusik knot a go, and they're a real PIA on Mason line for my tarp to stake tie outs on my MacCat.

On my Hennessy Fly, I tried a prusik on the tarp to tree, and it was just as hard using Zing it. Could have been user error, but I'm going to make some UCR's tonight & we'll see how it flys.

Some interesting points raised, never thought about the tarp. Cheers, al.

Thanks, I'm a few kg more but was thinking I would try it as well.

I originally bought it to use with my tarp as an alternative to zing it.

    UCR Tarp Ridgeline

I made a quick UCR & put it on one side of my tarp to tree line. It works great. If fact, it's the best set up that I like so far. I got rid of my CRL and the tarp is very easy to adjust with this setup. If I was to go with one on each end, I would think, it would work even better. I'll post of picture of it later. The only thing is that I didn't make the line long enough for the prusik knot. But, like I said, this UCR was made up quick out of used line I had laying around.

You could use a knot that needs less line like a taunt line hitch.
