Pulled the trigger on a Superfly

I cannot wait for this fly. This is going to be amazing to have a fly that will fit my blackbird, its been too long waiting for enough money to make this happen. being broke as a joke is no fun, and i know i will get flack for buying more gear... but the superfly has haunted my dreams.

I have both the SF and CB. You are going to like it a lot.
    Straight out of Clayton.

Most physical hike: Grandfather Mountain, NC. Aug 13.

I don't need to make my pack lighter. I need to make my (_*_) lighter.

I went from the tiny HH Hyperlite Asym rainfly to a Superfly...can hardly wait for the Superfly to arrive so I can see how much more coverage it provides me with.

I think you and I both made a good choice.

Excellent purchase - a four-season tarp with doors gives me incredible peace of mind, knowing that I'm ready for just about anything the weather throws my way.

I've had my 4-season Winter Palace for a couple of years now and have spent zero time thinking about site selection. Last year my sons came with me on an Adirondacks canoe trip and they both had 11 ft. hex tarps. The wind was blowing off the lake at about 20 mph and there was a steady rain. I had to walk around for 30 minutes trying to find trees so the hex tarps could take the rain and wind broadside. Site selection is a giant pain in the butt, looking for landscape features to protect you under your skimpy tarp.

You won't have that problem with the Superfly.

Will do. It arrived today and I plan on setting it up sometime this week. It's a monster compared to the tarp that came with the Hyperlite! I also bought a HH Hex rainfly for times when the Superfly would be overkill.
