    Question I hate whoopie slings

Now, by the title, you think I hate the design. But in reality, I hate making those annoying things. How do I do this? The issues I'm having are with the wire and getting that *(@$&*@*($&@&#$@(#(@*)&%^$%( amsteel end to get in and through the burry. How do you guys do it? It has made me spew profanity throughout the house as I curse this project. Can someone give me advice on how to get the end through? either the end is too big to fit, or the wire I use cuts up the amsteel and I have to cut it and start from scratch. First I used braided picture wire, then a single thicker strand, then a slightly insulated wire. Nothing worked. Please, help me succeed.

    Taper the ends.

I use a piece of solid core copper wire folded in half. For smaller cord like 2mm, I use the G-string off my guitar.

Taper the end. I use floral wire (for 7/64) folded over. I insert it into the center and out where I want. Slide the tapered end into the fold and hold in place until it starts getting pulled in. Then milk the body over the taper until it comes out the other end (where you put the wire through). Then milk it back down until the taper is back inside the core.

    I think that makes sense.

Thanks guys, that makes a lot of sense. @fallkniven, what knife is that in the back-round? the lanyard hole makes me think it's by cold steel

taper the end you are burying (remove three strands about two inches back) and I love the green yarn needles at walmart instead of wire

Key is to taper a lot. The way I was doing it before learnin to taper was to tape the end to an aluminum knitting needle and pull it through. It worked great but every time I had to get all the adhesive off so it would stick good enough next time. If you don't mind cleaning the needle every time, this is another thing to try. I used reflectix aluminum tape.
