Summer trip in some kayaks
Thanks for that Lepmeister, great little spot for a mid week adventure.
We have had total fire bans and all sorts of issues down here(had to evacuate for 24 hours!)
What sort of kayak do you own? I have a Hobie revo.
Sure has been a crazy week down in Tas with the fires, hope you all ok down there.
The red one i had was a loaner for the weekend but i have a pescador 12 which is a sit on top type that i use mostly for fishing. It has enough staroge for a overnighter but i didnt use it in the vid.
I have done a review on it that you can find on my youtube.
Nice Video, Thanks. Looks like a great place for Yak-n-camp.
The Older I get, the Faster I use to be.
Great to see someone paddling. Looked like challenging friction fire method. All the best to you folks in OZ and Taz with all the fires and such.

Great report, Lepmeister
With the temperatures this weekend on the eastern half of North America we had spring/early summer like conditions in what is supposed to be proper winter.
I do have to ask what make of kayak that your buddy used. The blue and black one. At the beginning of the video it looked like it was inflatable as the deck of it seemed to flex a fair amount.
Hopefully the weather down in Oz calm down temperature wise and you get some much needed rain to help with the wildland fires you are getting.
Cheers
Brian

My old stomping ground....or is that paddling ground.
Spent many happy times on the Hawkesbury through the '70s and '80s, it's the main thing I miss from Sydney.
So thanks for the vid.
