    Thanks for the info from both of you. The ENO is new to me but $124 for that? Thankfully my kiddos got me a thread injector for xmas a couple years ago. My skills are not terrific but I could certainly make a mosquito net contraption like that for a lot less cash.

    Thanks for the insite I just ordered the netting from Bear Paw, he said he would put in the giant U shape zipper! Should have it in a couple of weeks!

    I send you a picture when it arrives.

    Sweet! Glad he gets to make more of those. He's not as refined as some of the other cottage vendors but his work is solid. And he'll try just about any idea you can throw at him. Yea thanks send or post some pics here. I can't wait to see it.

    Here's the arrangement my trail buddy and I have. Sorry it's not the best photo, but yes he sleeps under my top quilt. A 50# Blue Heeler sure helps you stay warm at night.

    Alifeoutdoors I just got the hammock dog screen from Bear Paw Designs with the U shaped zipper modification you recommended. Seems like it's going to work! Big U shape zipper allows full access to the hammock until your ready to zip up for the night.

    I'll try to get it out for a test this weekend

    That's really nice. I don't think my dogs would stay in that thing though. I feel like after 1 trip they'd rip right through it. I'm glad your dogs are better behaved than mine!

    Oh man that's slick. Yea if I ever get another one made I'll definitely have him put in the u shaped door, that looks a lot better. With it pulled back you've got a full view clearance. You'll get a lot better pitch when you can stake it out but looks like a winner.

    My 60 pound female weimaraner on a very cold and stormy night on top of Dugger Mountain in Alabama. There was no way she was going to sleep on her bed under my hammock that night. The wind was howling all night. I'm 225 and my Blackbird XLC held the both of us just fine. She slept very well and kept me warm that night.

    There was an Old Man with a owl,
    Who continued to bother and howl;
    He sat on a rail, And imbibed bitter ale,
    Which refreshed that Old Man and his owl

    I have a Rhodesian Ridge back. She has no hair really. so thin. I never have a problem with fleas or ticks. She is not Leash friendly, pulls very hard always. Got her from the pound at 15 months.

    She is my dog 100%. We can woods bum for hours and she runs free. always circles back to check on me then gone again. I can trust her to obey my call no matter what. Not sure why but she comes running to me no matter what has her attention.

    She sucks a blanket every night before bed. Not sure how to deal with that on an over night. She sleeps right next to me always.

    I'm in Central NY and canoe camp. Planing a 3 day. Running's has a great PFD for her for $24. I haven't had a problem with leash laws yet but do carry her harness.

    Wool blanket on the hammock to protect from her nails. Tried reflectix. way too slippery. I need something under me no matter the temp. I can feel the cooling action beneath me without.
