Great pics, loved the vid too

Never been down to those kind of figures, it must be fun Have you got another UQ to layer up with for next time?

Did the sock make much difference at those temps? You mentioned the micro climate it creates, I've not got round to making one yet so kinda curious, -5*f is a seriously cold winter over here and very rare so never saw the need for one.

Gonna watch the vid again now

Way to go and go some more. Yeah.....you gotta sleep with that fuel to keep it warm. My FF has always worked...up to -20º last year. My Mini-Atomic worked in -26º but the warm fuel was the key.
Man....I sure know that frozen face and it gets tough to talk due to face freeze.
    Glad the car started!!!!!

    Thanks for sharing.

Nothing is better than spending time in the woods with a like minded person. Thanks for the video and the photos. Looking forward to snowshoe next month in Vermont.

I'm going to borrow this video and tell my friends to watch it, every time you say cold or freezing we are going to drink!
If it had been windy...it might have not been fun.... If you and your buddies drink every time I say cold or freezing you will be hammered in under 9 min. I want vid. of you doing it!!!!

You said you had a hard time getting the alcohol started. Did you keep it in a pocket inside your jacket to keep it warm or was it just outside in your pack. If it was in your pack next time try it closer to your body. You should have no problems gettin it started at that point.

By the way what temp was it again?. Lol.
Yea I forgot to put the alcohol in my pocket...dumb move on my part. hahaha did I say -22

I have the 0* Incubator and man it worked good even down that cold. I think the sock works awesome. You do get a little frost inside it but I do think it makes a diff. on temps. If nothing else you don't feel any breeze in it. I made this one out of M90.

The ol frozen face....you know your in the cold when you get the ice sticking to you!! I forgot to take the fuel to bed grrrrrrr, next time I wont make that mistake. You start to lose part of your mind when you are focused on staying warm. LOL

I had a 0* Incubator from Hammockgear.com for the UQ and a 30* Rev. X with 30% overstuff from Enlightenedequipment.com The combination of the two worked super good. I also have a hammock sock made out of M90. I believe that helps some as well.
