    Question about tarp fly

I've been using a tarp fly with some 1.75 zing it and it works out pretty well. My only issue is that it's super hard to get the zing it to release from the fly when I'm ready to break down. Does anyone else have this issue, or has anyone found a way around this?

Would a figure 9 be easier to work with?

I actually leave the fly on the tarp, the problem is getting the line to release for the little grove that it goes in. It can be done, but it's pretty difficult.

When I switched to the tarp flyz, I noted that also. It just seems to take more of a tug than the figure 9 that was on it first. I've stuck whith the flyz so far. It is more of a "that took a tug" than an issue (so far).

I've encountered this problem (with the very very original Dutch flyz) as well and the way I've fixed it was taking a pair of needle nose pliers and opening the groove up ever so slightly. Now don't pull too hard as you don't want to make the groove too wide or even worse break off that little piece of metal. This should fix it easily and give it a bit more wiggle room to pull the cord out when breaking down.

Good luck, remember it's TI so it's strong metal but you still have to be a little gentle with it. Let us know how it works out.
